What is BOTOX®?

What is the difference between BOTOX® and Dysport®?
BOTOX and Dysport are both similar types of bolulinum Type A. They are both used to relax muscles that cause wrinkles and lines. BOTOX and Dyport use different unit systems. 1 unit of BOTOX is approximately equal to about 3 units of Dysport
How do BOTOX® and Dysport® work?
BOTOX and Dysport work by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduces the muscle activity that causes the formation of moderate to severe lines and wrinkles. When these muscles are relaxed, the wrinkles and lines improve quickly and will continue to improve over time. This treatment is safe and effective when performed by an experienced and qualified healthcare professional.

Am I a Good Candidate for BOTOX® or Dysport®?
BOTOX and Dysport are excellent options for patients who are looking to achieve a more youthful look without the commitment of plastic surgery. The three most common treated areas are:
- Glabella (vertical frown lines between the eyebrows):
- Usually requires about 20 units of BOTOX or 60 units of Dysport
- Crow’s feet (lines around the eyes):
