Is Ultherapy PRIME®?
Ultherapy PRIME® is the latest generation of the most clinically proven non-surgical lifting platform available, developed by Merz Aesthetics and representing the first major device upgrade in 15 years. The Treatment Process
Your Ultherapy PRIME® experience at Serenity begins with a thorough consultation. Your provider will assess your skin’s current laxity, the areas of concern, and your overall aesthetic goals to determine whether Ultherapy PRIME® is the right fit for you and which treatment zones will benefit you most.
At your appointment, your skin will be cleansed and the treatment areas marked. Ultrasound conductive gel is applied to allow the handpiece to move smoothly across the skin, and a topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment areas before the session begins. Your Serenity provider will then use the device’s real-time HD imaging to visualize your skin’s layers and place the microfocused ultrasound energy precisely where your skin will benefit most. During treatment, you may feel brief sensations of warmth or mild tingling as the energy is delivered into the deeper layers of tissue. The upgraded PRIME® system produces significantly lower discomfort scores than the previous generation.
There is no required downtime after treatment. Most patients return to their normal routine following their appointment. Some mild temporary effects, including slight redness, swelling, or tingling, are normal and typically resolve within a few hours. Occasionally, patients experience mild tenderness in the treated areas for a day or two, which can be managed with over-the-counter pain relief if needed.
Initial improvements may be visible within the first few weeks as the skin begins responding to treatment, with more significant lifting and tightening developing over the following 2-3 months. Full results are typically visible at the 6-month mark as collagen remodeling reaches maturity. Results can last 1-2 years, depending on your skin, your age, and how you care for your skin after treatment.
